Spring has sprung and the vibe on the Gold Coast is amazing!
The sun is shining, the beach is sparkling, the cafes and bars are bustling and the theme parks have reopened just in time for the school holidays!
If you’re making your way to Kirra to stay with us, then visit our friendly staff at the front desk to make sure you get the most out of your Gold Coast experience. We don’t want to brag or anything, but we’ve got some pretty awesome recommendations and even some discounts for you!
We’ve put together a list below of just some of the special deals that you can take advantage of over the next month.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
If you’re a nature and animal lover, then Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-do when you’re visiting the Gold Coast.
You’ll wander through open animal enclosures, feed kangaroos and wild lorikeets, watch live shows and see the vets in action at the Wildlife Hospital.
Not only is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary an amazing day out to explore 27 hectares of rainforest and see some gorgeous animals, but you’ll be supporting their conservation projects to help some amazing species from extinction including endangered Australian animals.
Warner Bros. Movie World
Calling all adrenaline junkies!
Did you know that Movie World has the tallest, longest and fastest HyperCoaster in the Southern Hemisphere? Yep, and it’s terrifying!
But don’t worry, there’s something for everyone. You can also meet some of your favourite Hollywood stars, check out the JL52 Batmobile in the Streets Star Parade, see some shows and even visit the Wild West!
Dreamworld is reopening on the 16th of September so you and the family can enjoy rides, waterslides and wildlife all in the one place.
There are endless things to do and see…
The kids will love The Wiggles World and ABC KIDS WORLD and learning about traditional Indigenous Australian culture at the Dreamworld Corroboree.
For the bigger kids (or your inner kid) the flying theatre, Sky Voyager, is a must. Then take your pick out of the seven terrifying thrill rides available!
Wet ‘n’ Wild
Wet ‘n’ Wild is currently operating Thursday – Sunday and then seven days a week from Thursday 17 September just in time for school holiday FUN!
The kids will love the Wet ‘n’ Wild Junior Zone which features kid-friendly water slides and the giant wave pool.
For the thrill-seekers, Aqualoops is going to give you the adrenaline fix that you need. You’ll be released down a trapdoor into a huge, vertical free-fall!
Visit Australia’s number one Marine Park where you will get up close with Polar Bears, Penguins, Rays and Dolphins.
There are shows, thrill rides as well as an interactive splash zone and rides especially for the kids.
Southern Gold Coast Beaches
Our favourite attractions, of course, are the stunning beaches in the southern end of the Gold Coast. There’s Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creeks which are perfect for the kids. But if you’re chasing the waves, we probably don’t need to tell you that Snapper Rocks is the place to be.
The best bit?
They’re totally free! (Well, except if you decide to enjoy a surf club lunch overlooking the ocean.)
If you’d like to know our favourite spots including some hidden gems, then make sure you follow us on Instagram.
That’s it for this month, stay safe and always check the website before visiting any attractions to make sure that you’re up to date with any changes there may be to COVID restrictions.
